WR Marvin Harrison, Jr. (Silver Football, 2x Unanimous All-American, 2023 Biletnikoff winner, Heisman Finalist, Arizona Cardinals)

Yep sounds a bit like CJ. He might be torn but Smart decision is get your money. Though with his parents that might mean less to him then most.
I remember CJ saying how difficult the decision was for him, but in the end it came down to being able to provide for his family who were quite poor. He obviously made the right call and how he's performing in the League prove that. With Marv however, I don't think the family finances are really an issue. I would be shocked if he came back, but seeing the person he is I could see him surprising all of us.

Another way to say it is name the last player projected in the top half of the 1st round that came back.
Andrew Luck comes to my mind. But a couple of things makes this unique: 1. He doesn't come from a rough life - his father was very well paid. 2. Not beating dUMb sticks in my craw. It ruins my year. I can imagine what it does to these guys.

But, yeah, there's no way he comes back and in fact he shouldn't.

I knew there had to be one but I couldn't think of it.

So we've got that one, that one time a long time ago. I like our chances. (not)

Wasn't Matt Barkley projected to go pretty high if he came out after his JR year? But decided to return to USC then ended up having a not so great year, getting hurt and fell to the 4th round.

The reports don’t quite match what the interview sounded like. When he says “undecided” he clearly sounds like “this is what I was told to say”. It doesn’t sound like he’s genuinely considering it.
First thing this makes me think of was "The Decision"--where a genuinely bewildered LeBron James couldn't understand why the fans felt betrayed over excited for him to play somewhere else. I hope he's not being advised to lead people on. I think there's a part of him that genuinely wants to come back. Do I think he will? Probably not. But I said it right after The Game, I have this feeling there's a chance moreso than I've felt with any surefire first rounder we've had in the past couple decades.

Leinart still went in the first, but he would have been the first pick if he declared a year earlier, then fell to #10...not a huge slide, but a slide. I think MH wouldn't really move much by coming back or lose any money, but he won't make more money by coming back. I know money is not always the only driving factor, but I see this as a slow news day writeup making more out of it then it is. He will come back from NYC and opt out of the bowl/declare for the NFL...if he doesn't, I will be the most pleasantly surprised fan out there.

Edit: Meant to say that I very much appreciate the things he is saying leading up to this and wish him the best at the next level, which he is ready for from day 1. I'm just not getting my hopes up because I think it the chances are 0.0000001% of it happening.
