Agreed. He is also very generous to his alma mater.

I'm glad he stayed. His Senior season was my freshman year, and the first year I had season tickets.Buckeye Buh Nim;809699; said:Should add this about Joey.
After his Jr. year he could have gone early in the draft. He chose not too, and it was a tough decision for him.
IIRC, he made the announcement form his home town. Everyone thought he was gone.

Bucs get two more draftees signed in time for camp
Buccaneer WR Joey Galloway has witnessed and been a part of the construction of a playoff team from the side of management
Jul 18, 2007 -
As fast as Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Joey Galloway is, even he can?t be in two places at the same time. Unfortunately for the veteran wide receiver, that means the first weekend of the Bucs? training camp will present an interesting and unusual dilemma.
See, in addition to his role as lethal deep threat for the Buccaneers, Galloway also is part-owner of the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League ? the same Destroyers who last weekend clinched the franchise?s first-ever title-game berth and will play in ArenaBowl XXI on July 29 in New Orleans.
That date just happens to coincide with the fourth day of Buccaneers training camp at Disney?s Wide World of Sports Complex at Lake Buena Vista, Florida. With 640 miles ? and more importantly, one demanding head coach in Jon Gruden ? separating Lake Buena Vista and New Orleans what?s an owner to do?
?I?m going to sit down and talk to Coach Gruden and see what the best way is to do things, see what?s best for both the Destroyers and of course the Buccaneers,? Galloway said. ?I kind of have two jobs right now, and it?s really his call. It?s his decision how that?s going to be handled, and I?m going to be professional either way.?
Galloway may get ring as an owner

Joey Galloway might not have to wait until the Super Bowl in order to win a championship this season.
In addition to playing wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL, Galloway co-owns the Columbus (Ohio) Destroyers of the Arena Football League.
The Destroyers will play the San Jose SaberCats at 3 p.m. Sunday in ArenaBowl XXI in New Orleans.
Bucs' Galloway busy being NFL player, AFL owner
By Nate Davis, USA TODAY
Joey Galloway is coming off consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He signed a three-year, multimillion-dollar contract with the club in March. He says he's never had more fun playing football than he has for Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden.
So why will Galloway be looking over his shoulder during Buccaneers training camp for the next few weeks? Because as part owner of the Arena Football League's ArenaBowl-bound Columbus Destroyers, his eyes are always peeled for fresh talent.
"You see a lot of guys in the Arena League who were on NFL rosters or close to making NFL teams," Galloway says. "I keep my eye open for guys who can help us out in Columbus."
And while Galloway, 35, is cooling his heels during NFL exhibition game action, he'll be surveying the competition, too. "I've never worried about evaluating guys on other teams, but I do now."

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Joey Galloway maneuvered around the question with the same grace that he zips past defenders on the football field.
When the receiver reports to training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today, one of the first things he wants to do is have a quick conversation with coach Jon Gruden about an unusual dilemma.
