OSU has the ability to play him too. Hartline needs to utilize his rotation more, that’s the only major knock on Hartline. OSU should be able to play 6 WRs easily(Egbuka, Tate, Inniss, JJ, Ballard and any of Grayes/Rodgers/Antwi) and lose little production. its just up to Hartline.kid is probably going to make it borderline impossible not to play him. He looks so imposing already it’s kind of crazy.
Yeah I think we'll see a little more rotation this year. I get the knock on the lack of rotation, but it was definitely hard to do when you have Olave, Wilson, MH Jr, etc. Not saying we aren't still stacked to the gills at WR, but Smith I would expect to play early and often. He just brings another dynamic and he's ready to play in every aspect if he's willing to block.OSU has the ability to play him too. it's about time we had a good WR around here
Smith is scary good
I know physically it doesn’t matter what a kid looks like… but is it me or are this years WRs low key built as hell?
Innis looks like JSN to me and it’s not just the number. Both him and Egbuka are built different and I think we need to involve them on sweeps and motion runs more.
Then of course JJ as well is probably the most imposing WR and he’s a true freshman
And I might add that it is more readily available at the high school level, so kids like JJ Smith come in out of the gate looking like that. Can you imagine being a S&C staffer and seeing JJ come in looking like that? So much of the work is already there, obviously room for improvement all the time but what a leg up. Eddrick Houston looks to be in a similar boat.Lifting and conditioning In itself has become so much more technical and improved. Gone are the days of relying on your coach’s antiquated lifting advice or garbage articles in a fitness magazine. The growth of social media and YT allow for on-demand scientific information about better hypertrophy, best meso-cycles, better nutrition, etc. Alongside the evolution of supplements and exercise science research, these kids are going to continue to be bigger and better.
