WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American)

Well, at least the 'talking heads' aren't giving him a 'soft verbal'.....didn't even get one of those for the 5* DT that flipped last week! NIL and the portal have added a huge measure of uncertainty to the recruiting game, no?
Portal and NIL has blown up recruiting.

Even a signed LOI just means you have a player for that year. You'll have to re-recruit them every year they're on campus as other schools will be trying to offer more, especially if they produce in game time.

Wait until the expanded playoff. It's basically the start of NFL farm league next year. At least the NFL has multi year contracts, so the teams know what they are usually dealing with.

Well, he can get some freshman 'seasoning' playing behind the talented WRs already in the fold, while a newbie QB (Air, S Dakota guy, Devin) works out the kinks. Then as a sophomore he can take center stage with a seasoned QB, and then after a junior year with the Bilitnikof (sp) on his resume, maybe a Heisman, can takes his wares to the NFL. sounds like a plan, no? Maybe Hartline will even get to call the/his plays?
