WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2022 Rose Bowl MVP, Seattle Seahawks)

I've concluded he tapped out on returning long ago.
Really disappointing.
He was never returning after he tweaked the hammy v Iowa.
Even if we make the playoffs he has no intention of retuning.

It really impacted the offense.
Marv and EE are playing every snap since the greatest wr coach in history can't get a one of handful of 4 stars rifiding the bench ready to play 1 meaningful snap.

I've read where it was speculating he wasn't even at the game Saturday.

Nick Bosa took a lot of crap for not returning. And he had a significant surgery.

I thought I saw him on the sideline during the game wearing a black OSU jacket

JSN was absolutely on the sidelines Saturday. He was squarely on camera multiple times.

It was a horrible luck injury that has absolutely lingered with him throughout season. It was obvious he reinjured himself against Iowa too. There's just no responsible reason to have him on the field at limited capacity when he has his whole career in front of him.

I tend to disagree with the assumption he's 100% out should we make the playoffs too. I've stated it before, but should they be lucky enough to sneak in, it gives him nearly 5 weeks of additional rest while also allowing the staff to work him into gameplan. I think if we make playoffs, he plays......JMO.

Jesus Christ, he didn't tap out. He came back twice and tried to play and couldn't and both times, he showed more passion limping off the field than most of the rest of the team did on Saturday. He cared. A lot. And you can see it all over his face. If he tapped out, he would've left and rehabbed on his own.
People on here are insufferable.

I shudder to think what these guys get sent on Social Media.

Yeah I don't see where anyone should be giving this guy any problems, but I know they are. He tried to play, he couldn't, so he didn't risk millions of potential dollars ruining his leg that he was never going to be more than 40-50% during the grind of a season no matter what he did, which means him being out there could have hurt (him and the team) more than it helped. Zero issues with him at all.

I have no problem with JSN. He clearly tried to come back and was pushing the coaches. His hammy remained an issue and his timing with Stroud was off. Looks like, he and the coaches recognized that he was a case of subtraction by addition. Also, he looked nothing like he did previously. Rather heal up and get ready for the next level.
