WR James Clark (transferring to Virginia Tech)

?It is not really (nerve-wracking)," he added. ?At the end of the day, I don't feel like I can go wrong with either one. It is up to me to be successful. I'm just trying to pick the best school that will help me develop."
?The visit to Clemson was great,? he said. ?They told me they are looking for a guy, a big playmaker, that can come in and maybe go opposite Sammy Watkins ? their big-time playmaker. And they talked about developing me off the field as well.?
According to the URL cited recently in this thread, the essential issue seems to be development:
1. That is a great attitude.
2. The depth chart at tOSU and the opportunity to play right away sound like development to me.
3. Urb has a great record in academics.
4. Clemson is using the words 'development" and seems to have a strategy of holding out someone whom their finished/developed product looks like, but I say, why not be the number one?

The Gators will be tough to beat IMHO. I think we get Smith, Elder and Wilson. No Vonn Bell or OL.
No way we take 3 offensive skill players. No chance. Not with our glaring needs at OL, the studs we are in on across the board for 2014 and our smallish class for next year. Why take 3 playmakers to go along with Jacobs, Zeke, Marshall, and Baugh in this class considering that?

Well there is a chance Hunt and Skipper don't pick Ohio State. So unless there's somebody we go after at the 11th hour I'd say it's a very real possibility.

Actually it is a very unreal possiblity. I haven't seen one thing to suggest we would spend 3 schollies on that position regardless if we strike out on the OL and Bell. It just doesn't make sense considering our other needs and the 2014 prospects we are in on. I haven't seen any analyst suggest we would take 3 WR playmaker types in this class.

Simply suggesting it's a real possibility we don't land an OL. None of us here know any more than the other what positions we are going to end up taking when it shakes out.

This much we can certainly agree on.

***sorry, back on topic. Loved hearing Clark's positive comments. Looks like a fight to the wire but considering how late we got in the game I can't complain!

James Clark will take unofficial to Florida this weekend, then trim teams to three
By Chris Hays | Orlando Sentinel
January 29, 2013

New Smyrna Beach wide receiver James Clark took his final official visit of the recruiting period this past weekend to Ohio State. He said it was reassuring to him to see things firsthand in Columbus.

The problem with the visit, however, is that it didn't really help him whittle down his remaining list of five schools from which he will choose come National Signing Day (Feb. 6). Clark still has Clemson, Florida, Nebraska, Northwestern and Ohio State on his list.

He will visit Gainesville for an unofficial trip this coming weekend, which will be one last chance for the Gators' staff to win him over.

Clark said he will then narrow his list to three schools Sunday or Monday.

?It really is going to be a difficult decision,? Clark said. ?You have to think a lot of things and we're talking about five of the best schools in the nation. To have to cut four schools from those five ? it's just going to be hard."

He will unveil his choice on National Signing Day, which is next Wednesday.
