WR Emeka Egbuka (All B1G, All-American)

I envision having three years worth of #1 receivers all lining up at once. Can you imagine the dbs thoughts when they see that. Maybe tOSU issues them #s 1,2,3 for their respective years just to make a point. Lovely. Go Bucks!

Adding Egbuka to Fleming, JSN, Scott, Mookie, Harrison Jr., and Ballard, and then Burton in 2022 (and likely more top WRs)? Downright unfair. Egbuka is so talented and polished though that I do think he will play immediately if he comes here regardless of how stacked we are, he's that good.

It's coming Friday so might as well get them warmed up. It's either us or OU so the worst that can happen is that we're wrong. That's what the insiders are doing at this point..... just guessing.
I mean, a few of them—the ones that are recommended that you pay attention to—talk to the family and the coaches.

Birm talks directly to Brian Hartline regularly, who in turn has spoken to Emeka 3-4 times a week for the past two years.

Some of the insiders are doing more than guessing.

Oh, I get that. The insiders as well as the coaches have a pretty good sense at this point. He seems to be down to 2 and a tough decision ahead. But when a prospect visits a school and says "yeah, I like your school" to a coach and all the crystal balls switch to that school....... how many times are they wrong? It's immediacy bias.

At this point, he is telling both OU and OSU everything they want to hear. He has nothing negative to say to either so it's all fluff. Until he tells one of them "no", I bet both programs feel really confident they are landing him on Friday.

He cannot go wrong with either choice.

OU appears to provide more immediacy of playing time.

I don’t think that’s the case.

But that hasn’t happened. A handful of crystal balls have been submitted for OU from people who have no clue what’s going on, but anyone who has ever been remotely connected to this recruitment has been on OSU for months and they remain there following the OU visit.

Even the main OU “insider” who has been pumping Sooner fantasies for months (Drumm) is still on OSU at 8 confidence.

Strange things happen in recruiting sometimes and nothing is a lock, but I’d say this is closer to 95/5 than 50/50.

Nothing really surprises me when it comes to recruiting. I've seen kids make elaborate commit videos only to flip to another school, moms walk off a stage during a kids commitment ceremony, top 5 talents get turned down by numerous schools due to off the field issues, and a kid commit and decommit from the same school multiple times. Oh crootin '

Dont overlook CJ & Jack.... enjoy the ride folks... enjoy the ride

Amen to that. We are incredibly lucky to get to be apart of this.

Around 2004, after we'd upset Xichigan to make Tressel 3-1 against TTUN, I realized that I needed to enjoy the ride because we this might not last forever. And every year since, even in 2011, I've taken a moment to remind myself to enjoy this run, knowing that it won't last forever. It's been a great ride, and I look forward to its continuance!
