It has already be covered ad nauseum that Duron won't ask Pryor for the #2 jersey...

The BN video that I linked on the previous page mentioned that topic - it's hard to say how long ago that portion of the video was filmed, but that's why the topic surfaced again.

I was just stating that if Duron ends up wearing #2, I wouldn't have a problem...If TP keeps it Great, if Duron wears it, Great. It's a win win.

Ohio State football recruit Duron Carter, a wide receiver from St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on the sidelines with his father, former Buckeye Cris Carter.

Just like his father, Duron Carter will be lacing up his cleats for the Scarlet and Gray, with all the intentions of making his own legacy at Ohio State.

Carter, son of former OSU All-American and NFL star Cris Carter, became the 18th pledge of the 2009 recruiting class on July 4, turning down scholarship offers from Louisiana State University, Auburn and Wisconsin, as well as many other schools.

"I felt very comfortable with the coaching staff," Carter said. "I like the way that Ohio State as a whole and the city of Columbus treats their players on and off the field and I felt like it was the right place for me."

Many recruitniks had Duron Carter as one of the top receiver prospects in the country. Rivals.com had him ranked 11th best in the nation while Scouts, Inc./ESPN.com had him ranked as the 10th best wide receiver overall.

At 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 185 pounds, with long arms and huge hands, Carter has a big advantage against smaller cornerbacks. Throw in his break-away speed and his ability to make the tough catch, and OSU fans could be seeing another All-American with the last name Carter.

"He has excellent range," said coach Jim Tressel at his signing day press conference. "He's got great speed, he's gotten bigger and stronger and he's got the kind of range his dad did."

Profile of Duron's recruitment by Vico at ohd.com.

Duron was initially wanting for interest early into his recruitment. After all, he is Cris Carter?s son ? a pedigree that?s sure to get attention from college football recruiters. More importantly, he was part of the 2007 state champion St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders football program. However, there was no flurry of interest in Carter. One possible reason is the nature of the team for whom he plays. Aquinas is a rush-heavy team, as most high school teams are. Duron was usually consigned to the role of blocker. While he relished the role he played for his team, it did ultimately leave him with a limited highlight reel for consideration. He only had 22 catches for 361 yards and 8 TDs in 2007. Hey, maybe all Duron Carter does is catch touchdown passes like his old man. cont...
