WR Chris Olave (1st Team All B1G, 1st Team All-American, New Orleans Saints)

Frankly, Olave is so damn good and consistent that I feel like we overlook a performance like this even when it's so incredible. The guy literally cannot be guarded, it's unreal. Maybe the best pure WR I've seen in a Buckeye uniform, hope he cements that in outdualing Smith against Bama next week.

I'd still take Chris Carter in an all timer pick 'em but Olave is definitely moving up there.

The route on his first touchdown was filthy. Out, up, then back in one fluid motion without using his hands. So smooth the db tried to hold and couldn't get a grip. He's clearly well coached but there's a lot of God given talent.

Should have qualified that with in my lifetime/memory. Carter was just before I can remember. The first outstanding WRs I can really were Boston and Galloway... which saying Olave is up there or higher is still pretty high praise.

CBS Sports projects Olave as 1st round pick:

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks taken with first four picks after two teams trade up

Round 1 - Pick 2
Zach Wilson QB
BYU • JR • 6'3" / 210 LBS
PROJECTED TEAM
N.Y. Jets
PROSPECT RNK
6th
POSITION RNK
3rd

New York starts fresh with Zach Wilson and an additional pick(s) acquired in a deal for Sam Darnold. There are a lot of holes to fill but there is a promising, fresh start in the Big Apple.

From Seattle Seahawks
Round 1 - Pick 27
Chris Olave WR
OHIO STATE • JR • 6'1" / 188 LBS
PROJECTED TEAM
N.Y. Jets
PROSPECT RNK
67th
POSITION RNK
11th

New York's offensive line has played better down the stretch but it still has some holes. It would not be a surprise to see them address that at the top of the second round. For now, they add a pass catcher for Zach Wilson.

26ish could makes sense. I continue to see a lot of Santonio Holmes in Olave and Holmes went 25. Granted that was a weak WR draft and Holmes was first taken.

Santonio was a baaaaad man. Would’ve loved to see him in these more modern schemes Day runs.

I think Olave is more likely to go closer to where McLaurin went or slightly higher, and then make everyone look stupid in hindsight just like Scary Terry.

They have him ranked the 11th best WR? Did Dabo make that mock draft?

If he's really a NFL first round pick, go for it.

If he's likely the 11th receiver picked, come back and play for Ohio State in 2021. He'll definitely improve his draft position for the 2022 draft and make several million more, etc. i.e. mid round pick vs. 1st round pick.

There isn't a Harbaugh's chance in the playoff Olave would be the 11th WR picked.
