WR Brian Robiskie (Official Thread)

I don't agree. Don't get me wrong...Robo was fun to watch, but I just don't think he's worth a first day NFL draft pick. I don't see him being a big factor in the NFL, but only time will tell.

I don't see him being a big-time threat, but I do see him being an excellent possession guy. Not a "#1" guy. Perfect compliment to a big-time WR, though.

Gonzo went first round, and Robo has better measurables, and arguably equal hands and routes. He won't be a #1 in the NFL (assuming he goes to a team with a legit #1), but he could be a very good #2. He made about a half dozen catches this year that were truly amazing, and it was an off year, with nagging injuries and the QB change. If he can put up strong 40 times in combines, he could be considered a #1.

Agree, a good combine tackled with the history of recent contributing/productive wide outs in the NFL from OSU, bodes well for Robo going in the first/second round in April.

Didn't his Dad interview for a head coaching job somewhere in the NFL?

He has been an interim head coach for the Redskins (took over for Norv Turner) and Browns (took over for Butch Davis). I believe that is it though. Some people thought he would be the replacement for Turner, but Dan Snyder ended up going with Schottenheimer.

On another note, Rotoworld wrote an article regarding players that helped and hurt themselves during the bowl games in terms of draft status. Robo was listed as one of the ones that helped himself. I do not think that Rotoworld is exactly the greatest with college related items, but it is better than him being on the "fallers" list.

I was not aware of this, but Mike Wilbon on PTI just claimed Robo one of his two favorite CFB players from this season. Myron Rolle, who just put off the NFL draft for Oxford (and the Rhodes)...and Brian Robiskie! For being a 3-time Academic All-American!

Congrats Robo!

Underestimated
Ohio State wide receiver Brian Robiskie was absolutely impressive. He caught every pass thrown his way no matter where the ball was placed. He ran nice, crisp routes and made every catch look easy.
He didn't get tangled up once in his shoelace-skinny legs. They actually provided him with the balance of a tightrope walker and the graceful speed of a gazelle. I think he surprised defenders when he blew by them. Robiskie is not known for his speed but did show that he can stretch the field.
Several scouts had their eye on him including dad Terry Robiskie, the receivers coach for the Atlanta Falcons. No question his son was one of the top receivers on display.
