WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion)

yeah, because people seeking money only ask one person then stop.
My personal belief is that word got back to Auburn that Cam's dad's whoring was about to be exposed, so that the transaction never took place (not out of ethical considerations but practical considerations in not getting caught), and starting at Auburn was at that point the best way to showcase his talents in a spread option, as the Miss State things had gone south and as Florida was not an option. He ran out of time and spread option teams and had to go with the barners. I also think a deal might have been done to take care of things after graduation, with the resulting press and success of the season mooting the deal, as Cam would make millions off of his Heisman and NC.

Despite the NCAA ruling, I still think it possible that some of the Lowder federal issues could result in new info at a future date.

The main point here: Brax is a beast who will thrive in the Meyer system and become a true Heisman candidate next year.

While I have no doubt about Miller's abilities in Meyer's offense, I also cringe at not having a 1000 yard tail back and not properly developing Braxton for an NFL offense.

2 out of 4 of Urban's former QBs are NFL starters right now (Alex Smith and Football Jesus). Josh Harris from BG was in the league for 2 years (Ravens, Browns, and Giants). Chris Leak got signed by the Bears and spent a training camp with them. So in other words, ALL of Urbans former starting QBs had a shot in the League.

As far as worrying about rushing stats.

Total Rushing Yards by Team:
Florida
2009 3105
2010 2861
total 5270

OSU
2009 2540
2010 2861
total 5401

I think we will be fine in that department. Also, if you compare apples to apples just take the last two BCS teams Urban had at florida (2008,2009) that total was 6340 yards for Florida. 939 yards more than the last two OSU BCS teams. I don't care who runs it if we get 1000 more yards on a season.

I honestly don't think we're far from contending for the BIG Championship.
Youth and injuries were the issues this year. This will still be a young team but experienced and battle hardened. Walking through the fire this year will only make them better. We just need some luck with the offensive line and injuries next year. And the schedule starts out easier.

Along with losing virtually our entire 2010 offense (Pryor, Pittman, Posey) for the first half of the season...

I didn't realize Pittman still had eligibility.

And oh by the way, losing Pryor, HERRON, and Posey, might be one reason why Toas indicated we had so much youth.:wink2:

Considering we beat this seasons BiG champ during the regular schedule, I think we're very close to "being there". Some anemic playcalling and lack of focus at times were the difference in us getting to the BCG in an "off" year. We should be right in the mix all the way up next season.

Here's hoping we focus for our bowl game and make a statement to prepare for next season.
