He doesn't act much. Kind of like Daniel Day-Lewis in a sense. He was in The Good Shepherd and there's one coming out called Love Ranch that he's in.

Hasn't done anything awesome since Casino.

DDL not acting much I can buy because I believe he puts himself into roles like no one else.

Pesci seems like a character actor albeit a damn fine one. This is off the top of my head but I don't think hollywood has made a mob movie outside of the Departed for a while
