lol ok buddy. i don't know anyone that can't "interpret stats"....all you have to do is look at them and see the truth. i've seen Louisville's D since their first game and ND's O since their first game and they're both dreadful. you guys need to calm down and just realize that i was saying that they're both dreadful to begin with. honestly....who gives a shit about either team............

Everyone is calm.

Louisville's defense is indeed pretty bad, but I think you're basing their "suckiness" on how they gave 38 points to Syracuse at home. Their defense lately has actually moved up to the "mediocre" level, holding Cincinnati to 24 points, Connecticut to 21 points, and Pittsburgh to 17 points in their last three games. Notre Dame on the other hand has rung up 20 offensive points in their last three games...

Worst unit? I'm guessing Charlie Weis's, but then again I've never seen him with his clothes off.

Several years ago I started one of those 'life lists" where you spell out the things you want to do before you die. It has actually worked in getting me focused on doing things I might otherwise have put off.

Point being, you could use this as the start to a list of your own.

(BTW - You are on my list.)

Statistics are merely numbers of one stripe or another.

Interpretation of statistics is exactly what some very well paid people do for the bulk of their professional lives.

It is a highly valued skill that will earn you upwards of six figures on Wall Street for instance, or as a consultant in the upcoming Presidential Elections.

As well as 42 points to Middle Tennessee State, 40 points to Kentucky and 44 to Utah.

Granted, Kentucky has a strong O, but it's pretty terrible that the preseason #10 team, week 1 #8 team and week 2 #9 team in the country is now 5-4 (2-2). I don't think anyone, besides the ND homers, thought Notre Dame was going to be very good this year. I've stated from the beginning of the year (not on this forum), that Louisville has NO defense. Just ask lvbuckeye....he'll tell you lol

I voted for Louisville D, but would probably change it to ND's O.

ND's offense takes suck to another level, and is honestly just disrespectful to the game of football.

But still, Louisville made Syracuse look like the Indianapolis Colts, who actually blew them out until a couple of late scores by Louisville to make it look closer. The difference is that Louisville's defense is ruining a great offense and a heisman-contender QB. Notre Dame just sucks period.

I hate to ruin a good laugh at Notre Dame's expense, but there is a worse unit in the country, and it is most decidedly not anyone's defense.

Notre Dame scores 46.9% as many points as their opponents typically allow to other D-IA schools. Those of you familiar with my stats know this as Differential Scoring Offense (DSO). Notre Dame's paltry DSO ranks #118 in the country out of 119 schools.

Number 119 is Florida International, and they score only 35.4% as many points as their opponents typically give up. Seriously. They are scoring fewer points in D-IA competition than Ohio State is allowing on defense. To put it another way, they are making the defenses on their Sun Belt schedule look like the Ohio State defense.

You guys need to lighten up on Charlie, pun intended.

Notre Dame's offense is only the 2nd worst in the country.
