That loveable Thump is at it again...
Sorry, no. Philadelphia cheers opposing players' injuries and throws batteries, forcing officials to create a jail and processing office in the stadium. Detroit throws full cups of beer at players who intentionally avoid on-court altercations dumps popcorn and soda on players simply trying walk away, players who never had anything to do with anything. Oakland personally berates opposing players while they're sitting in the bullpen trying to watch the game, and does it so efficiently that players erupt and throw things back. How about the two people who attacked a first base coach on field? Not Cleveland. The riots in the streets that resulted in a girl being shot and killed by a police officer's "less than lethal" projectile? Not Cleveland. I hear horror stories about Wisconsin, Iowa, and even Columbus.
I've been to a fair number of games in Cleveland, for the Browns, Indians and Cavs, and have never personally seen anything inordinately offensive. The only things I can think of for Cleveland are the Dime-a-Beer riots in Cleveland Stadium back in '74, and the bottle throwing incident at the Browns game a few years back. The former was just bad planning. The latter was, while not exactly justified or defensible, a reaction the officiating team should have expected given the circumstances.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, "Pull it out."
