Actually, I think that guy has better form than Couch did. Why didn't the Browns sign him up? He could probably throw better than Dilfer.

Or Elton John...

Yeah, Cleveland definitley has the worst fans, throwing bottles at refs and players? cheering when their starting QB gets hurt? barking? and thats just football!

Their baseball team, just last week, only had 14,000 people show up for a monday night game, when they were only a half game out of the wild card.

So the team sold first come first serve tickets, anywhere in the park, for 5 bucks, so they could fill the stadium for their Sunday night ESPN game. And also, their consectutive sell-out streak of 455 straight games or whatever was a sham. Apparently there were more than a few games where the game had a couple thousand tickets available, so the FO gave them away to area businesses so they could say they had a sell-out.

absolutley pathetic.

Didn't realize the anti-Cleveland sentiment was so fervent 'round these parts. In that case, it should be noted that I have no official connection with Cleveland, and really only follow/root for the Cavs and the Indians.

And I was at that Sunday night game - I'm trying to do my part.

Dont forget this gem

Wells says hecklers in bullpen got too personal
By Tom Haudricourt
of the Journal Sentinel staff
October 11, 1998
Cleveland -- David Wells, the New York Yankees' fun-loving, easy-going, quirky, loose cannon of a pitcher, doesn't anger very easily.

Yet, some sharp-tongued Cleveland fans raised Wells' ire as he warmed up in the bullpen Sunday before Game 5 of the American League Championship Series at Jacobs Field. Upset by personal comments regarding his family, Wells said he had difficulty focusing as the Indians scored two runs in the first inning.

Wells recovered to pitch 7 1/3 strong innings in New York's 5-3 victory, and afterward had a message for the people who taunted him: "To those idiots, this one's for you!"

"I felt good, focused going (to the bullpen) and then you get a bunch of clowns out there that start talking about your mother, not knowing that my mom passed away a year and a half ago," added Wells.

"It really bothered me. What got me more was some little kids out there started doing the same thing. I couldn't believe that could happen -- low-lifes coming out there and trying to be cute.

"I can deal with a lot of negative crap out there, but when it involves my mom or any one of my family members, it really bothers me. That's what really just kind of got me out of focus and I was fighting myself out there."

A reporter pointed out that Yankee Stadium fans have a reputation for taunting visiting players, also.

"I played against the Yankees for a long time and I never heard anybody get personal with my family members," he said. "They can be crazy and wild, and that's part of the game. That's fine; they're entitled."

It's known nationwide how bad of fans they are. Just not around here.

Glad to see you were one of the 2.5 people was their game Sunday night.
