I have misplaced my pants.
Anyone have any candidates? My candidate is Alien Apocolypse.

It's about how two guys and a chick fly off into space and then return years later. They're roughly the same age they were when they left, but it's 20 years later or so. The world has been taken over my alien bug people. One of the alien bugs eats the head off one of the space guys, and capture the other two, and force them to work. "Work" is simply moving pieces of wood from one pile to another. The aliens don't actually guard them, either. Some of the humans have sold out and are the aliens' bitches. But they like it because they don't have to sleep in a hole, like the prisoners do. So the one guy decides to break out, but the rest of the prisoners try to talk him out of it, since no one has ever tried to escape. So he breaks out and kills one of the alien bugs. But the chick gets captured and returned to the prison. The guy gets out. He finds people hiding in the woods, and makes a band of humans. They find a building - a church or something - and in it are all the leaders from Washington. The president, congressmen, etc. are all just hanging out there. How have they been feeding themselves for 20+ years? I don't know. They space dude tries to convince the president to lead his army into the prison and free the people there. But the president is too big of a wuss. So the space dude decides that he'll lead the army. They charge into the prison and beat up the human guards. All the prisoners join the rebellion. But then the alien bug dudes show up and start blasting people. Just when all seems lost, the president and all the congressmen show up (yeah, they're all really old people) and fight the aliens. They put all the sell-out humans in a building and say "you stay here and think about what you've done. you can come out in a half an hour and play with your friends." But then the aliens blast the building. The good guys eventually win, and they think, "What do we do now?" They decide to go around the world, attacking prisons and freeing the prisoners. I think it says that eventually the alien bug dudes give up and go home.

Any worse movies?

I've been shot down on this subject before, but I have to go with The Swimmer. Fucking horrible.

This guy travels through his former upperclass neighborhood by swimming in everyone's pools. He is trying to get home (he thinks) only to find out he is divorced and his ex-wife is a bitch.

Alien Apocalypse is one of those SciFi Channel originals that are thrown together on a low budget and designated "B" science fiction movies. Other recent examples: Mansquito, Jason X, and Cerberus (which premieres tomorrow). Bottom line: they're supposed to be bad, but still mildly entertaining. I don't care for them myself, but I'm sure they will make great late night viewing for wide-eyed 12-year olds for years to come.

The worst movie I've ever seen that wasn't made for TV is Lifeforce. Strangely enough, this one gets an average rating of 5.6 (out of ten) on IMDB. There's no accounting for taste.

Holy Tomato Paste

That dubious distinction has to go The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Lots of squishy action with seeds flying everywhere....but no pasta kitchen to heighten the suspense.

Waterworld - nothing beats the vacuous, emotionless acting of Kevin Costner, a vapid script, empty storyline (its a map, on a kids back) - and unscientific idiocy (if all the ice shelf melted it wouldn't cover all the land, and the sea would actually become drinkable, so the "currency" of water is a moot point).

This also rates 5.4 on the IMDB, like they said - no accounting for taste.

Too long at 2hrs 16 minutes Waterworld is a Mad Max wetdream.
