I think I have to go with Freddie Prinz Jr.
I discounted all the comedians, body-builders and singers because most of them suck. There are exceptions such as Will Smith and Robin Williams, but for every one of them you get 10,000 Pauly Shores and Madonnas.

one of my favorite movies with Walken in it is Suicide Kings... great flick if anyone hasn't seen it.

Good nominations - Reeves (Keanu and throw in Christopher as well), Walken, Jolie. However, Willem Dafoe is pretty good (especially in Wild at Heart).
My choice - Richard Gere.
Also (and I know that most of you won't agree with this at all) Al Pacino - the most over-the-top histrionic ham in the history of movies. Sometimes it works (Dog Day Afternoon, Dick Tracy (as a cartoon bad guy - should say something about his acting "style")), but usually it doesn't (Scarface, Scent of a Woman, Devil's Advocate, Glengarry Glen Ross, etc.); he was pretty restrained in Heat (with De Niro, Kilmer, Voight (Joile's daddy, who is actually a pretty good actor)).

I agree with this one. He was good in The Godfather 1 & 2, but other than that he hasn't impressed me. IMO, Scarface is quite possibly the most overrated movie of all-time

Good thread, but the easy answer is Kevin Costner. He's by far, the most overrated actor ever. He stinks, no matter the movie. I've always told my wire if they ever want to make the worst movie ever, then they should get Costner and Keanu Reeves to play the leads.
Costner, hands down. Reeves in second.
Ben Affleck is pretty bad, too. At least when he's the main character.
