A few surprises in the other games played today.
Cuba bounced back, after getting run-ruled by the Dominicans 2 days ago, to post a 7-2 victory over Venezuela. Venezuela was picked by many experts to take the WBC title.
It's tough to call this an upset, but Puerto Rico is leading the powerful Dominicans 7-1 in the bottom of the 9th. Limiting a lineup (with the likes of Pujols, Ortiz, Soriano, Alou, Beltre, and Tejada) to 1 run on 6 hits is outstanding.

Miguel Tejada hit a two-run double in the third inning to get things started, then his Dominican teammates took advantage of a pair of Cuba errors en route to a 7-3 win. David Ortiz blasted a solo home run in the fifth that went out of Hiram Bithorn Stadium. Odalis Perez looked strong on the hill today for DR.
USA goes up against Korea tonight at 10. Dontrelle Willis takes the ball for the US, while Korea counters with Min-Han Son. Look for Korea to save their stronger arms for the finale against Japan. That could mean a big win tonight for the USA.
