Wow, someone explain the new rep bars and the golden buckeye leaves

i posted something about giving someone rep and they said i don't give greenies i give greys, but on it went and i said i couldn't figure out why 3 days ago i have 91000 points, in the green and it say i'm "Two Deep" and now i have -117506 points total and i'm "scUM" and it seems right after i posted that i checked a minute later and i have all these little red evil smiles across my rep meter, and then there was no smilies and now they just have the good smilies across the rep meters

Three's action going on with the rep thing, changes are being made. As for your rep, if a few people ding you that have significant rep power on here, 100k can disappear in a matter of seconds

I think maybe a gold leaf is for every 1,000,000 in rep, but I could be wrong. Then the bar resets and goes up during your next 1,000,000

Not that this is already sweet as hell, but the gold buckeye leaves got me thinking. Could the rep-meter be visualized as a buckeye helmet? New members, or members with no rep points have plain silver helmets. Members that rack up the points accumulate buckeye stickers on their "helmet." Members in the red lose the stripes off their helmets, scout team style. And members really in the red get the scUM helmets, hehe.
If not rep, maybe use the helmet to show a constant tally of awarded posts?

That has been discussed a few times, and seems like a decent idea. It would work better for awards I think.

Proud to be a Buckeye
I noticed that the new posts in the Graphics forum don't show up in the last 10 'recent posts' in the upper right corner of the forum. Before, they did.
It was nice to see when new graphics were posted; I've overlooked some of the newer stuff. Was the change intentional, or is this something fixable?
