WooHoo Got a Job Offer!!!

Forgive me while I go sell my shares in Goodyear.

As of 2:21 PM (Eastern), GT is down $.15 (.96%) to $15.48 per share. Expect a significant drop later this afternoon or early tomorrow as news of the offer spreads.

Congratulations! Hopefully the offers continue to roll in and you can take your pick!

Well, all this education has finally paid off. I got an offer from the company I worked for last summer, Goodyear Tire and Rubber! I have till the 6th of january to decide, so I get plenty of time to iron things out with other companies I am considering as well. The pay and benefits seem really good for someone still in college too. Now I can rest easy that I have a job next summer no matter what happens!

Congrats G, maybe now you can work again on getting the Cavs cheerleaders
to room with you.
With any luck, they'll emulate their Carolina sisters in your bathroom.

Now that you'll be making the big bucks, you can take a few of us out to Firestone to see if we're athletes or not.

Great job.

You can guarantee if I'm working up there I will be golfing Firestone plenty

Congrats to everyone. Now all we have to do is find someone on BP with certain tendencies to go on TV, demonstate condom use and be arrested by a state agency. Anyone wanna volunteer to take one for the team?

What? The job at McDonalds didn't work out?

Na just kidding, good luck on your job at the rubber factory. On our way up to Canfield last Friday for the game we drove thru Akron and I must admit that building is HUGE. But also very old, looks like one strong wind might knock it over.

Congrats.
As BIM mentioned NJ was a big wig at Goodyear, you may want to discuss amongst yourselves.

You are an engineer, correct? Sounds like ME or maybe Chem E?
Good luck, I still have a few friends that are at Goodyear.
I get a lot of miles out of the RTS on my truck, the rough riding SOB's that they are.:)

Oh yes, Goodyear employees cannot golf at Firestone, it is in your employment contract!:wink2:

Yeah, I've spoken with NJ before. Of course, there is no guarantee I work there yet as I've interview at over 15 places and have possible offers at about 7 of them. What this does for me is gives me a safety net such that no matter what I have a job next year. Electrical engineer BTW...and I will be golfing at Firestone if I work there

congrats on the new job offer... it takes a lot of stress out of the other interviews, you know you'll be working regardless of the results of the other interviews (which will prob. help you in the interviews... more relaxed usually= better interview)...
