WooHoo Got a Job Offer!!!

Update:

I now have a job offer with Northrop Grumman in the Baltimore area!!!

Next week, I interview in CBus with Mettler Toledo, Kentucky with Toyota, and Pennsylvania with Essroc

Life is good

What is the long term plan? Are you looking to get out of central OH? Is there a certain industry you want to work in?

Congrats on the additional offers!

Northrop Grumman-help kill terrorists!!! Baltimore is a cool town. Good Luck wherever you choose.
Thanks STX...if I go there, I will gladly comply

Northrop is currently in the lead I'd say. National defense and antenna/radar design is exactly what I'd like to do. Unless one of these three other places impress the hell out of me, I'll be taking them up I think.

Wow, now how do I say no to Goodyear? NJ, please forgive me... :sad2:

Golf - congrats! If you want a nickles worth of free advice from someone whos been through the ringer at least a little bit, here is something that was passed down to me some time ago from one of the most successful people at my firm, and I have found it to be quite useful.

Four simple rules -

1) Work hard
2) Be nice
3) Never do anything to make your group look bad
4) Never do anything to make your firm look bad.

As simple as they sound, if you follow those four I bet you will be pretty darn successful.

That is how you do it. Tell them you received an offer in the exact area you want to work in and although your experience at Goodyear was wonderful and it is an exceptional organization (now that NJ is out of Akron) you cannot pass the Northrop offer up.

Just be honest and appreciative. You never know when your paths may cross again, and they will.

Thanks for the advice NYB. I guess this means don't post on BP except on lunch break right?

Great idea. That is also truthful because I was so impressed with the city when I went on my interview. Thanks BinMich.
