I've done some. Though it's pretty basic stuff (think 90? and 45?), I think it turned out well. I've made a dining table and coffee table, and a couple glass-top desks.

No fancy equipment though, just a table saw, mitre saw, and belt sander.

Does anyone happen to have a good plan for a childs playset? One with swings, slide and a clubhouse like platform?

If you do, can you share? I want to build one for my 5 year old who could walk and say "Go Bucks" at 8 1/2 months old.
