The Badgers put some money in my pocket and gave me a few laughs on Friday. I'm in line to bet on them, and there are a couple of geniuses behind me who have put about 4 seconds of thought into their picks:
Dork 1: "FSU is easy money."
Dork 2: "Really?"
Dork 1: "Dude. It's a 12 - 5 game."
Dork 2: "Yeah, but two 12s have already won."
Dork 1: "Which means it can't happen again. Besides, it's a middle of the pack Big Ten team against a top tier ACC team. I can't believe the line isn't bigger."
After we finish our bets I had to ask: "You do know Northwestern beat FSU by 14 points, right?"
Dorks 1 and 2 stare blankly at me.
Later, Wiscy is down at halftime and Dork 1 makes a point to let me know about it, to Dork 2's amusement. I enjoyed watching their exasperation as Wiscy came back in the second half...but I couldn't find them by the time the game ended and I was cashing in my wager. I wonder why?
