I was notified by my Windows Update that SP3 has been downloaded and ready for me to install. I've held off installing due to what I've read in this thread and other forums.
Has Microsoft got this thing working now so it won't create the headaches I've been reading about? My machine works perfectly fine with SP2 and I don't want or need the aggravation of a Microsoft induced headache.

I'm not as computer literate as many here are but I don't think I have an HP (Hewlett Packard?) with an AMD processsor.
I looked under device manager and nearest I can see is I have an Intel Pentium 4 with and ACPI uniprocessor. I didn't see anything related to AMD.

Running it on several hundred systems here. Not a single problem. We're mostly Dell with a few Thinkpads thrown in. Most systems have been built or imaged by me, very few factory installs.
