An excellent sauv blanc from NZ is Kim Crawford 2006. The PA state store (fucking PA :smash: ) has it for 16 bucks. Wine Spectator has it in their 2006 top 100 wines list, so you can trust them if you don't trust me.

Some other great NZ sauv blancs:

Matua
Villa Maria
Nobilo
Drylands

These are all in the $10-12 range.

Cloudy Bay is supposed to be amazing, but I've never had it. It's around $20-25, I think.

Groth and St. Supery are a few great domestic sauv blancs. ($15-18)

Excellent choices on the SV, sushi. I'd also recommend Mud House. It and Drylands are consistently my favorites.

Cloudy Bay is a bit different; it tends to be a little more flowery. Not really to my taste. The others have more citrus character with a sharp finish, which is great with seafood IMO.
