My heart and bracket sheet says I hope so, but my head says no. They will be underdogs both games, tough to beat the odds two times in a row IMO.

They're not underdogs against Georgetown.

They're favored and would be favored if they played UCLA.

I'm going to say no. Around the time the team lost to Wisconsin, and after UCLA hit their skid, I believe the following poll went (1) Florida, (2) Wisconsin, (3) UNC, and (4) Ohio State, or something to that effect. That was about spot on, before Butch's injury, anyway. The Bucks have consistently shown they're one of the Top-5 teams in the country, but there is one ingredient missing that puts them over the top.

I haven't seen anything in the tourney that makes me want to change my mind. They're a great team and from the Sweet 16 on it's been all gravy, but I just feel Florida is the best team (again) this season.

I would love for the Buckeyes to prove me wrong.

This is tough to call. I'm not worried about Georgetown, and wouldn't be worried against UCLA should they upset Florida. But Florida just seems to be peaking at the right time...like it or not--and as much as it pains me to say it--when they're clicking they are flat-out unbeatable, period.

I'm going to say we edge Georgetown to get into the final against Florida (who will hammer UCLA...again), and then will lose a very close game to Florida in the final. That's how I see it right at this moment...

of course!

Georgetown will be thinking, "we beat these guys last year, we'll get 'em again this year..." although of course, only Harris, Butler, Lewis and Twig are really back from last year. They are going to feel like a different team with GO, Conley, Cook and Lighty.

After the way he played Saturday, I see Lighty getting some time in against the "big physical" Georgetown team. Oden, Hunter and Lighty, or Oden Twi and Lighty. With LIghty playing tough like that we can throw a lot of s**t at G'town.

As for Florida, here in Meatchicken today the Detroit sports station had a thread going of, basically, "Is Joaquim Noah starting to bug you?" and it seemed everyone calling in was sick of his crap. I think if we get through Georgetown and then face Florida, it will be EASY for Matta to use the underdog, nobody-gives-us-a-chance approach with the Bucks.

Of course, I think UCLA is gonna take care of Florida, and I think then we will have an interesting game with UCLA, with the Bucks coming out on top 82-75.

Go Buckeyes!
