Will Kirk Ferentz still be Iowa's head coach in August, 2009?

I thought that was Starksville?
Nope that's just where people who don't have the 800 SAT go when they can't get into Ole Miss. Or they don't want to be a frat boy tailgating in a 4 piece suit. I can respect a man in jorts for his courage, but dude, as the High Life Commercials prove, suits, ostrich burgers, and the accoutraments of yuppy culture need to stay the fuck out of athletic venues... Unless you are coaching, you just came from work, or you own the team. Frat boys, you're drunk, relish it. Sorry I know that had nothing to do with Kirk Ferentz, I just hate Ole Miss frat boys in their damn suits and bowl cuts... That being said... I think Ferentz would be too smart to give away the good life at Iowa for a suck life at Cleveland.

Given the way Ferentz skated through a very ugly mess at Iowa, which was just another in a long list of ugliness since his tenure at Iowa began, I'm beginning to think he may have sold his soul to the devil.

Mike Freeman likes to write stories about "Teflon Tressel." If Tressel is Teflon-coated, then what the hell is Ferentz?

He has signed the 7-year deal, so I'll be settling this next week.

Ferentz inks new seven-year deal

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz has signed a seven-year contract that will keep him with the Hawkeyes through the 2015 season.

Ferentz and the university agreed to the deal in April. It was signed last week.

Ferentz's performance bonuses and his annual salary of $3.02 million won't change under the new contract. But the deal says that Ferentz will have access to a private plane for up to 35 hours of personal use a year.

Ferentz is in his 11th season at Iowa. He is 70-53 with the Hawkeyes, including a 9-4 mark in 2008.

Cont'd ...
