I know - it was for the math/logic geeks here. An upsidedown U in logic is often called "intersection". The regular U is called "union."

I was wondering if that was the case. I shouldn't have dismissed that thought.

Since then, this thread has taken a definite 'turn' toward the geeky.

And prof, wouldn't following a parabolic path run the driver off a parallel road eventually? :wink2:

What you say is true, but I thought using more precision and saying "a cosecant path", would be more problematic since there are some who are familiar with the parabola "think" there is an asymptotic end behavior. When thinking of the masses, gotta error on the side of the LCD. :biggrin:

I tried to follow a hyperbollic path, once. But when I got to the "zero" point, I suddenly had to go from negative infinity to positive infinity in zero time, and then I got pulled over for exceeding the speed of light.
