Kilborn was the best late night guy ever.
Especially when he and Olberman did the 2am, back when it was 30 minutes long.
Also, when Mayne started... his lines were annoying as can be imagined... He used to like to yell, "Yahtzee" when someone hit a Homerun. Over and Over and Over.
In the worst mistake ever... they put Kilborn on with Mayne on the 2am show...
Mayne's rolling along doin his call of some Baseball Highlights and says Yahtzee about 6 times for one game.
They cut back to the studio, and Kilborn turns to him and Says,
"Kenny... Don't ever say Yahtzee again" right as they cut to commercial.
The next night, Mayne's calling more Baseball, and right in the middle of one of the Highlights as a game winning home run happens, Kilborn starts yelling, "KENNY, Say Yahtzee.... I DARE YOU."
Ahh.. ESPN rookie Hazing.
Cut to Commercial... it was hilarious.
"Do a little dance... Make a little Glove... get down tonight"

If the poll was "Best Sportscenter Anchor?" the I'd have said Chris Berman. But, since it was "favorite", I gave the edge to Mayne. Anyone who votes for Michigan grad Rich Eisen needs to be castrated.
Betcha he can pronounce "Rashmish"...

Eisen did do a pretty good impression of the Atlanta Braves baseball announcer who's name I forget...

I don't know if they've done it before today, but they had Marcellus Wiley commenting on the highlights today. It was at least different if not interesting and sometimes funny when he made fun of the other anchors.
