Do you put comedians on best actor lists? Owen Wilson is funny as hell, but I would not say he is a great actor.

Brad Pitt was good in Ocean's 11 and Fight Club.

I also think that Kevin Spacey is great.

All time I think you would have to put Paul Neuman and Charleston Heston on the list.

Ya, he is great at what he does, and I will go see a movie if he is in it. He was also really good in Behind Enemy Lines, so he doesn't only do comedies. I don't think they have to be a serious actor just to be a great actor.

If by "favorite" you mean who brings the highest level of intensity to his role, then my favorite is John Malkovich, who narrowly edges Anthony Hopkins. And I won't get pissed at anyone who says I have it backwards. These two exemplify indifference to self in subservience to the role at hand.

There are a slew of others I enjoy: Nicholson, Freeman, Ed Harris, Willis, Hanks, Gossett Jr., Eastwood, Poitier...the list goes on and on.

Just to show his breadth, also try the showings of Jeeves and Wooster. Laurie is very talented.
