Unfortunately thats your opinion. But you do not know me, but I think after all the somewhat abrasive posts, I think I stayed pretty reserved. Well, I hope eventually I can change your opinion of me, because I think you are pretty knowledgeable about football, and I like having conversations back and forth with you. :):):):) SORRY! Just havin a humor moment!

Are you watching the same vid? Wright put the top of his helmet right in Locker's facemask! Add to that the fact that Wright already had one foot out of bounds, and had to turn towards the sideline to hit him, meaning that Locker was more out of bounds than Wright. Even worse, Wright bent his knees just before contact and then exploded up into Locker's face without even trying to wrap him up. Poor tackling technique and an attempt to injure.
Watched it 3 times, and he hit him with his shoulder. The penalty was for out of bounds hit. Football is a violent sport, thats why I played when I was younger. I love that hit! It was worth every bit of those 15 yards! My motto, if they are gonna flag me, I am gettin' my moneys worth! :wink2: PS Locker wasnt the same after that. Mission accomplished!

Just fuckin with ya Ted. We need more USC folks on here adding meaningful conversation. All we seem to have now is motivational sarcasm or something of the patronizing sort. You seem like an easy going person, so I'm not out to flame or anything, but I hope the conversation doesn't settle into banality.

I did watch the USC games last season that I mentioned above. I had the fortune of signing up for Directv in August because of the Big Ten network having restrained viewing, and managed to get quite a good use of the DVR that came with it. I caught what I could of the SEC games on CBS, so I could watch who we might play in January, along with the late USC games. They had more experience last year, and still had a tendency to make silly mistakes against teams that were obviously outmatched talent-wise.

I'd like to see examples of what posts you think are abrasive. From what I've seen, everyone has been pretty cordial, albeit with some good natured ribbing. If you think people have been abrasive towards you, check out what happens to posters they actually don't like.

The point is that if you let up then you have to hope he is actually heading out of bounds. I think 9 times out of 10, freshman Jake Locker takes his chances 1-on-1 with a CB.
He did let up. He waited for Locker to make his cut, which he did at a 45 degree angle out of bounds, and he exploded that way to send a message.

I'm sure OSU defenders would do the same thing given the close proximity to the in-bounds grass, so the whole argument is poor (about USC = EVIL!!!1!!1!). But that was not him worrying about the other 90%. The 10% had already been chosen.

Since you seen that one, I trust you seen the chop block that took out our center and guard! And since I am a visitor, i wont put some of the youtube videos I found, because it is pointless. By the way, saying that osu is a mid level pac10 team is just dumb! I never said that. I was just pointing out every team has games like that every year, so IMO it doesnt mean much.

Your center and your guard got hurt while throwing chop blocks?

Or do D-linemen block in the Pac 10? I don't know. You guys play some crazy kind of football out there.

Oh and, unfortunately, Carson Palmer already killed your chances with his comments the other day. Karma is going to be a bitch that wears Scarlet and Grey!

Okay, here we go. Without trying to sound sarcastic, a d-lineman took 2 guys at once, llike if he was a olineman it would be a chop block. but as you pointed out, d lineman do not block, therefore, it was a cheap shot. I said chop block to explain what the d lineman did! And a big FIGHT ON!!! To Carson Palmer! Too bad some fans do not have a competitive sense of humor! As for karma, I say bring it on!!

He was whining about the same attitude he was displaying himself. Smack about the game and about fans are two different things. I guess he didn't like being one of the few respectable Bengals left.

Was it overblown? Sure, but it was still laughable stuff.

He was obviously referring to the play where Laurinaitis chop blocked USC's center and guard while grabbing Locker's facemask after all four were out of bounds...or something...
