Who is the best Ohio high school player BP isn't talking about?

Youre missing a couple guys from the mighty GCL in Cincy as well in Ben Coffaro from Elder and Conor Hundley from St Xavier. Coffaro has 884 all-purpose yards. He has 404 rushing yards, 254 receiving yards, 64 punt-return yards and 162 kick-off return yards. And Hundley has put up 726 all-purpose yards, he leads the GCL with 699 rushing yards. And in the last 2 weeks alone against 2 of the top teams in KY(Trinity and St X) he has rushed 47 times for 457 yards – 9.7 yards per carry – and five touchdowns.

Some QBs that have been putting up some big numbers down in the Cincy/NKY area:
Patrick Towles Highlands(Fort Thomas, KY)- 654 passing yds and 7tds, 271 rushing yds and 4tds
Eric Martin Turpin- 874yds passing and 15tds, 93 rushing yds and 2tds
Dakota Dartis North College Hill- 805 passing yds, 8tds and 169 rushing yds and 1td

Andrew Smith OLB-Colerain
6-1, 190 lbs

6.5 sacks in 4 games. Already holds offers from Virginia, Stanford, UC and Boston College, among others. Oregon was in this week to talk to the young man.

Think Tyler Moeller.

Percy Johnson 6'1 220 HB/LB Kenston High School. Transfered from Madison Heights High (MI), (Where I Coach) where he was First Team All State LB. He was projected as one of the top 5 players in Michigan, he currently has offers from Cincinnati, Syracuse, Akron, OU, along with heavy interest from scUM and MSU.

Great one...we've posted a couple of things about him in the 2011 in-state players to watch thread...

Jamire Westbrook, Kings High School RB last week surpassed 3000 all purpose yards. Supposedly has a verbal offer from UC after running a 4.47 at camp this summer. Nephew of Brian Westbrook of the 49ers.

Looks like he is underrecruited just like his Uncle, too. Someone might get a steal with bloodlines like that.

Jamire Westbrook is far from underrecruited when he already has offers from D1 schools(Cincy and some MAC schools, I believe). And he's rated as one of the best RBs in the city as well.

How about the kid who leads the Cincinnati-area is passing statistics?

Dartis leading NCH again

North College Hill senior QB Dakota Dartis doesn?t think about a game's final stats. His mentality is simple: He just wants to get the ball to his receivers and put his team in a better position to win.

Dartis, who leads the Enquirer area statistical passing leaders with 1,070 yards, is hitting his stride as NCH (4-0) head into Friday's game at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (3-1).

"He is on fire right now," NCH coach Bruce Baarendse said. "The last two weeks in games and practice, he is throwing the ball better than he ever has. It is fun to watch."

Dartis, the Enquirer Divisions IV player of the year as a junior, is receiving interest as a quarterback from the likes of Minnesota, Illinois, Miami University, Toledo and Akron, according to Baarendse.

"We expected him to have a big year this year," Baarendse said. "The last three games - Huges, Madeira and Ponitz ? the ball is really coming out of his hands on target and on time."

Dartis, who is 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, said the Trojans are playing more disciplined and giving a greater effort than from a year ago.

"Better leaders, harder workers and more serious people," Dartis said.

I mentioned Dartis in my previous post. He's putting up some ridiculous numbers, even if its in the D4. I'd be interested to see what the team can do if they make it to the playoffs.

Another kid worth mentioning, is Aaron Kemper from Winton Woods HS. He's in the class of 2012 and has been on a tear. Has 697yds with 16tds for the defending D2 champs. He had 21rushes 261yds 6tds this past Friday! And its his 2nd game in 4 weeks with over 200yds and 5tds! Kid is maybe 5'8'' and 180lbs soaking wet but runs like a bowling bowl.

Where is everyone getting this information? Brian Westbrook is not Jamire's Uncle!
