I think OSU, X, and Dayton are all pretty close. We're probably a little deeper, but starting 5 on starting 5 at this point is pretty close. By the end of the year though, my guess would be tOSU hands down.

Good point. Talent wise OSU. If the game was today...I'd say Xavier by 8-12 points.

I would not leave out the Flyers at this point in the season. They're playing very very good basketball and I think would give X a run for their money right now. As far as Ohio State, it all depends on which team takes the court. The one who played against Purdue or the one who played against Iowa. We shall see down the road.

At least there's a little love for OU, who have been hanging around the mid 40's in RPI.

Right now, I'm going to say:

1. X
2. tOSU
3. UD
4. Kent
5. OU
6. Akron

Akron lost to UD by two, and hosts OU this week. Dayton and X play on the 24th, and Kent plays at OU on the 19th. Akron and Kent play on the 23rd.

Kent has already lost soundly to X, so that sums up the head-to-head connections.

Really depends on where they would play the games against each other. I dont see those guys coming into the Schott and getting a W. On the other hand OSU going to X or UD might be a L for the Bucks depending on shooting that night. I'd say right now both Xavier and Dayton are better overall shooting teams than we are. I dont think X or UD matchup particularly well with KK or BigO, definitely not both at the same time. It would definitely be a great little tourney with say...OSU, UD, X, Miami, OU and Kent.

Notice UsuCk isnt in the conversation. hehe :tongue2:

An Ohio schools tourney would be awesome. Unfortunately, I think one of those teams that would not want to participate...

Dayton is playing the best right now, and that's with Wright being out 6-8 weeks. Hopefully they'll be able to get him integrated back into the rotation before the A10 tourney starts back up. They play at Xavier on the 24th. I hope that game will be on in Columbus, or I'm going to have to invite myself to dinner at my Brother's in Dayton.

UMass is a good team, but not a team that should have beaten UD in UD Arena. The place was packed and loud, but UMass was hot that night. Not to mention that Gregory is going to have to coach the rest of his team to attack when Roberts is getting double teamed all night. Roberts didn't have his usual numbers, but was getting the ball to open guys when double teamed. They just didn't seem to know what to do with the ball. That can't happen if they want to make the NCAA tournament, and really can't happen if they want to make any kind of run throught the tournament.

That game didn't surprise me as much as the Xavier-Temple game. I understand that middle of the pack teams win these games a lot but Xavier's team should be experienced enough not to let those kinds of games get away from them like they did. Just goes to show you the parity in college basketball.

So Butler handles OSU, OSU beats Cleveland State, Cleveland State stops Butler. Go figure. Also, I may have to reconfigure the top Ohio teams:

1. Xavier
2. Dayton
3. OSU
4. Kent
5. Cleveland State
6. Wright State
7. Akron
8. OU
