  • We knew Pit was the starter... but who knew he'd let the team saddle up and carry it when it needed it the most?

We knew Gonzo had serious talent... but who knew he'd be like THIS ?!?!?

We knew Li'l Animal had potential... but another AJ in the making.. who knew??

It's gotta be Laurinaitis. He filled in last year for Carpenter, but does anybody really remember him having a huge impact on those games? This year, he's all over the place. Who saw that coming?

Gonzo and Pittman were major contributors all last year.

We already knew that Pittman and Gonzo were beasts.

Although Laurinaitus played a solid game against ND last year, I sure didn't expect him to develop into being such a force so early on in the season. The amount of clutch plays he has made in the first five games is ridiculous.

I went with Pitman... not because I didn't know he was good... but what I didn't expect is that he could CARRY the team at the most critical times... against the best talent in the land... He has the swagger...

    Plus he's from Akron ...

I voted for Yao. Gholston is a good choice, too, and I'd put him as the second biggest surprise, but Yao has played exceptionally solid corner despite never starting as game.

Pittman's rushing is just a little better that last year's (aside from the early-season TDs). Gonzo is Gonzo...no surprise here. I think Laurinaitis' play has exceeded the expectations of many (but not me...I knew he'd have a good year, just at SLB :)).
