As I live in a condo development, I can't have one; however, I wish I could. Growing up on a farm, I was used to having access to gardens and orchards that had about every vegetable and fruit that can be grown in Ohio.

Since I am currently single, having a garden is ridiculous-I am not going to eat everything I grow, and my friends and parents are always trying to give me their excess vegetables.
Ha... I used to have a bunch of ladies on various committees who would bring me all their zuccinis and tomatoes. Bag after bag of 'em. They piled up much faster than I could ever have used them, and I couldn't find anyone else who would take any.

One thing that we do is, make our own salsa. Man is it good! I also grow various types of hot peppers to add to the salsa. Mild to Hot! You can't substitute for homegrown. No comparison.

Actually our hunting stands are not on our food plots.:wink2:
We plant peas, chikory and other assorted weeds to give these scrawny deer some decent food. It helps them grow and keeps them on our lease.
Down here it is all pine thickets and the deer mostly eat briars.

It is not just deer that feed at the plots and we have a pretty stringent game management plan. So all the critters benefit while only a few are at risk.

Our course we are talking about acre sized plots that are worked and planted with tractors and 4 wheelers so it is really not garden.
But we will start this weekend. We plant a spring and a fall crop.

Never shoot into a barrel it might ricochetand hit another fisherman.
