Although we have a really young team I unfortunately see another big loss of players to the NFL
I've got:
Samuel
Hooker
Conley
Lattimore
McMillan
Lewis
I have no idea what is in Barrett's head right now. He obviously needs to improve in some areas but is he capable of being a 6th round pick and making a roster for a few years? Probably. Is that good enough for him?
I'm not sure where Lewis and McMillan rate as far as draft position but I would guess high. It would be nice to keep one of Conley and Lattimore so we don't lose all our stud defensive backs at once, but I think they are both in the first two rounds.
Hooker and Lattimore are near locks to go...Hooker is a guaranteed first rounder and Lattimore is borderline.
McMillan is likely gone as well and probably in the 2nd-3rd round.
I'm not sure Samuel is a first rounder (not a pure RB, not a pure slot) but I think he's a second round pick as well. Probably gone.
Conley is likely a 3rd/4th if he goes so he could improve his stock. I'd put him at 50/50.
Lewis will have a tough call...prob a mid rounder who can raise his profile. I think he should return but we'll see.
I believe Hubbard's combine will elevate his status.....he's more likely than Lewis IMO. I see Hubbard as a potential late first rounder based on measurables and ceiling.
I see Jalyn Holmes returning as well. Like Lewis, he has an opportunity to increase his stock by multiple rounds with a big year. I think he'd be in the 4th round range.
I don't see Barrett going pro, unless the coaching staff actually suggests he make the leap. Which sounds ridiculous, but if they believe Burrow gives them a better chance of success next year based on what they're seeing in practice and mop-up time, I could see them saving everyone the QB competition and ensuing circus, and just letting JT know its time. Otherwise, I don't see JT going. I don't want this to come off as crass, but he does not have NFL tools (lacks arm strength, lacks accuracy, lacks touch, doesn't have ideal size). Great leader and college QB, but it is what it is. I expect to see him in Columbus next year.
I do not see Worley, Baugh, or Noah Brown leaving. Each of these guys has the ability to dramatically improve their stock next year. The risk of leaving and getting taken in a late round, and then fighting for a roster spot, does not seem worth the reward. It's unfortunate, but for 2/3rds of the guys in this group, a good OC would make them a lot of $$$$
I also see Billy Price returning....maybe that changes if he goes out a champion.
