Ehh, I guess I do hear you Mili but I really wasn't impressed with anything they've done.. winning all of those games is a challenge for sure and they have some ballers but they could not beat LSU, UGA, USC, OU, etc. IMO at least.. I wanna play LSU. I want the 'peoples champ' and I wanna kick Les Miles teeth in and welocme him to the Big 10

Aside from their 48-7 smoking of Va Tech, I haven't been impressed with anything that two-loss LSU has done.

I could look at those all day - I find it very interesting to try and determine which coaches are honest, and which are self (or conference) serving.

Of note:

Beamer voted LSU #1 & Va Tech #2 - pretty much the only way Va Tech could justify an NC spot - his vote seemed completely based on trying to get his team into the NC.

Also interesting that Stoops votes OU #1, OSU #2 and LSU #6 - Sprinkle Mizzuo @ #3 & Kansas at #4, and it seems pretty self serving (B12 1,3,4?)

Spurrier's is also interesting in that it is off the beaten path, but not necessarily self or conference serving. It's as if he actually watch some games and judged based on what he saw on the field......weird isn't it.

Tommy Bowden's is odd - puts Mizzou #6, Kansas #7, Oklahoma #10 and Clemson at #11. Did he not see the last 2 weeks of the B12?

Anyway, if you have time, these are really interesting for stat geeks.

Not only in regulation, in one and two overtimes too. LSU can't be beat in less then three overtimes.

This has got to be one of the stupidest justifications by a coach in a while. As I listened to him I couldn't help but laugh. What a joke...undefeated in regulation... Maybe it means you can't win the close ones Les! Geez.

The funny thing is that he keeps saying it even though they are now in the title game. it is one thing to politic (aka whine) for your team before the selection process, but it is completely assenine to continue the rhetoric after you succeeded. Hey Les, you are in the game now, you don't have to throw anymore bullshit on the wall and see if it sticks.

Another hilarious thing as that all the "media" outlets have picked up on the new phrase "undefeated in regulation" and are using it. Hell, espn even had it in a graphic.

I just don't understand the polls. I understand what people are thinking, however, I do not understand how a team that doesn't play goes from 4 to 5 when #1 +2 lose, I don't understand how Oklahoma goes from 10 to 3... nor LSU from 7 to 2... it's kinda like saying these polls matter, until we decide who we really want in the BCS Game... its crap, If LSU beats georgia or even florida yes, but not tenessee. Same with VT Jumping GA, I think its been proven BC isn't that good. This isn't the BCS's fault its the fault of the voter.

I wasn't either, they narrowly escaped plenty of games..

LSU v. Kansas - who do you think wins Mili? Beyond regulation makes no difference for the purpose of this question

Seriously I understand that everyone thinks LSU is the best team for whatever reason, and that is who I want to play. But I have principles and I understand how dangerous it can be to literally let ESPN choose who will play. Georgia is the team. If you have a problem with it, consult the SEC because their championship game is what crowned LSU. It should have just been a split. Honestly ask yourself who is the best team in the SEC.

Probably the best team is the one who won the most games in the conference including the Championship game. That's how the Buckeyes got to play the Tigers rather than the bulldogs, who didn't even win their division.

But, then, I could be wrong. That's just my opinion. :)
