Who does bad weather favor?

you are exactly right pray for all the gulf coast, but as for the game all this favors the home team, I do believe however if the winds are 25 to 30 mph that our defense could be the difference. Yes the offense has the advantage of knowing where they are going but in those winds good luck throwing past 10 yards.


one more thing to watch is how the te, backs, and wr are used in screens draws, short passing game.

This is why I think they would benefit as they have a proven, when healthy RB and we don't.

Hmmmm-

First... I haven't really checked the line "sizes" but generally, smaller people play better in the mud... I bet our old pal Derek Morris ain't exactly a gazelle in 2 inches of slop... especially if his leg/ankle is still dinged...

Second, Pittman has 'mudder' written all over him.

Third, McClendon has "ow, my hamstring" written all over him on a wet field. (Though, I'll beleive Amato when he doesn't play)

Fourth: Both QB's, very inexperienced... wash...

Fifth: Chase Bam in the Mud... I dare you.

Sixth: Expect us losing the Turnover battle to end abruptly if it rains and they have a rookie QB... i'm sure Richmond showed him some interesting fronts.

Having said all that, I'd prefer perfect weather, but, you get what you get.

I'd expect us to play a lot of nickel or 34 if our pass rush struggle in the conditions and if we blitz, to do it with db's... and try to get straight shots on them.

I'd be lying if I said I weren't worried about this game, but I still say we should win this 3 out of 4 times. Rivers is gone, and they are in the old, "others" receiveing votes" category... its on the road... but I think we should win.

Our D will have more disciplined pursuit and better containment.

We will have pics on the new QB.

Runs to outside will gain yardage; short passes, screens: ditto.

Holmes remains a big threat, long.

OL gets a chance to beat NCSt D off the ball.

Our TEAM grew in the Marshall victory: time to grow some more in away game in enemy territory. Spotlight on younger generation, very talented Bucks.

If the weather is indeed inclimate, then on defense we need to keep the NCSU WRs underneath, don't give up the big play, and hit them hard when they make a catch (and hopefully cause a wet-ball fumble). We should be able to stuff the run fairly in a sloppy field since the RB won't be able to make as sharp a cut as normal and their OL will be less able to stunt and pull. Not to mention their star RB has a bum leg (supposedly...then again, he was supposed to have had one last year at The Shoe and it didn't slow him down much). On offense, if we can run to the outside, we should have some success, but we will need to throw some medium range passes to keep the LBs and DBs from creeping up and jamming the line. Hopefully we'll hit a few passes to the TE to loosen up the middle of the field. But, first and foremost, we cannot be -3 or -4 in turnover margin and expect to win. Turnovers will be more crucial in inclimate weather.

I think it favors the offense. In years past I would say without question it would favor the opponets in the past because of our offenseive weakness. This year I am not so sure, but I don't expect a low scoring game, and I do expect at least 3 turnovers between the teams considering the youth, hard hitting and bad weather.

Ivan will stall in North Alabama and Tenn and will sit there drenching the NC mountains with another foot of rain. Raleigh will be spaired and high winds and a lot of rain. It might not even rain there.
Three + inches in Charlotte but we are 150 miles from Realigh. And no, you can't have my tickets to the game.

Terry Bowden was on ESPN radio monday morning and he seems to think that North Carolina has the edge in this one because of the many games
the wolfpack played in inclement weather here in ACC country. He also stated that Ohio State did not play well on defense and alot of defensive weaknesses were revealed in the linebacking corp. He said we are gonna be surprised at the play of QB Jay Davis in his decision making especially down field. And alot of acc papers are saying that this is Chuck Amoto's most experienced and talented team that they have ever had dispite the loss of Phillip Rivers. Wow..........we could be in for a huge game here, if we can win this one huh ? You just have to feel that McClendon will be up for this game also.
