bumper stickers are dumber. At least with ribbons, you can obtain some of them by donating to various causes and turn a lousy idea into something useful.

or you can just give money to the organization that you support without putting a stupid ribbon on your car.

The bumper stickers that really bother me are the political ones....Mondale got his ass kicked well over 10 years ago, take of the damn sticker.

agreed......but at least ribbions you can take off when you relize you look stupid with them on.

Perfectly said. I firmly believe that one's estimated IQ drops about 10-15 points for every bumper sticker one puts on their car. My experiences w/ my bumper sticker loving in-laws have done nothing to dispute that theory so far.

A TONGUE-IN-CHEEK COMMENT FOLLOWS...PLEASE DO NOT FANTASIZE THAT IT IS OR COULD BE ANYTHING ELSE. THANK YOU.

Here in GA last election, we Repubs amused ourselves by noting most of the John Kerry stickers were attached to metal, whereas most of the Bush stickers were attached to glass. Well...maybe it makes sense. If you think your xit don't stink, you prolly think your paint don't peel, either.

Here in Ohio, us Dems sat around sniffing our shit before throwing it people with W stickers on their windows.

Let me guess, with this post, you're interested in talking about the validity of the marketplace of ideas, yes?

Dumb bumper stickers don't come from one side of the political spectrum. I still don't understand why people have both Bush or Kerry stickers on there cars......move on people.

Ah. My reputation precedes me.

Maybe we need to have a blinking neon tag whenever we want to post something off-the-cuff so it doesn't necessarily have to become another event like the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand or something.

They can't when it's stuck on their car!

My section of the city has some fun bumper stickers. I'll spare you the details. :p
