Which current NFL QB would you want....

Which QB would you want?

If you had asked this six years ago, Brett Favre, hands down.

But the here and now says Manning or AsphaultFace. Brady is effective and not a bad choice. Palmer could be if his receivers would stay out of jail.

Three years ago, I wouldn't have known Delhomme from Moses Malone. Steve Smith makes him look good.

Can I vote for Vince Young?

Other. The Sidearm Sidewinder. Vince fucking Young.

1. Brady

Everyone else

I might even put Delhomme ahead of Manning. Manning has got to prove to me he can win a big game before he gets anywhere close to Brady.

Now if this was a question on who I would take to build my team around, it probably would still be Brady but Manning would be a much closer 2nd.

Farve. Manning 2nd.

I love Culpepper, but I when the chips are down late in the game, I'd want Farve leading my team. He's not what he used to be, but my memory is too strong to pick anyone else on that list.

Well, in all seriousness, I'd unfortunately have to go with Brady. While I think that Brady is overrated, even with all that he has accomplished thus far in his career, there is no denying what he has done. Three Super Bowls in such a short amount of time is incredible, and he is perhaps one of the most clutch QB's I can think of. In second place, I'd go with Roethlisberger.
However, no one touches Brady in this category. Yeah, that's right scUM, maybe you should have started him, you stupid bitches.

So you're saying that Matt Hasselbeck is better than Donovan McNabb?

They both have one thing in common... they both lose in the big games...

To me Payton vs. Brady is comparable to Marino vs. Montana, one them will achieve every record in the book but the other will all the Super Bowl, which stat talks more and has more weight? Super Bowls, its the ultimate achievement of the game and with only 40 played so far, it's a very rare club. Like Marino, Payton needs better players put around him, he needs the Defense that will get the job down, now Brady has all those things, He also is a lot smarter, my pick would probably be Brady.

Good point. You also have to think about the fact that Brady has had better all-around coaching, favorable home conditions, and a good defense on his side. But there's also no denying that Peyton has come up short (or choked, as some people might call it) in the playoffs.

Brady, on the other hand, is a different type of QB. I guess you could say, he doesn't have the best stats in the world, but even in that area, he's starting to progress.

It's mainly about being clutch, and Brady has Manning owned in that category, so far. Hell, it's pretty easy to be that good when you were coached by Jabba the Hut... I mean Charlie Weis.

Let's see, Matt leads Seattle to it's first playoff victory in over 20 years, leads them to their first ever conference championship, and his offense actually outgains the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Yeah, he can't win big games. :roll2:

You could say the same for McNabb, too. McNabb has actually been to the NFC Championship game four times, and he finally made it to the Super Bowl. So, if you're going to take sides between the two QB's, based on this feat, then you have to select McNabb, easily. Throw biased logic aside; McNabb is one of the top four QB's, when healthy. He doesn't really have a solid running back to begin with, and therefore that would make passing the ball more difficult, but somehow he gets the job done.

On the other hand, Hasselbeck has arguably the best RB in the league, in Alexander, which sets up numerous potential play action plays. I see that you're a Seahawks fan, and I'm down with that, but take in to consideration that McNabb has won more so-called "big games" than Hasselbeck, and last I checked out-gaining a team in the Super Bowl doesn't mean anything; it's winning. And as for winning the "big-games"; I meant Super Bowl's. Last I checked, neither has one, and McNabb and the Eagles were closer to a victory in the Super Bowl, going against (in my opinion) a better team in the Patriots, rather than the Steelers.
