Which current NFL QB would you want....

Which QB would you want?

You could say the same for McNabb, too. McNabb has actually been to the NFC Championship game four times, and he finally made it to the Super Bowl. So, if you're going to take sides between the two QB's, based on this feat, then you have to select McNabb, easily. Throw biased logic aside; McNabb is one of the top four QB's, when healthy. He doesn't really have a solid running back to begin with, and therefore that would make passing the ball more difficult, but somehow he gets the job done.

On the other hand, Hasselbeck has arguably the best RB in the league, in Alexander, which sets up numerous potential play action plays. I see that you're a Seahawks fan, and I'm down with that, but take in to consideration that McNabb has won more so-called "big games" than Hasselbeck, and last I checked out-gaining a team in the Super Bowl doesn't mean anything; it's winning. And as for winning the "big-games"; I meant Super Bowl's. Last I checked, neither has one, and McNabb and the Eagles were closer to a victory in the Super Bowl, going against (in my opinion) a better team in the Patriots, rather than the Steelers.

I thought we were talking about the present. McNabb has had the better career but right now Hasselbeck is the better quarterback.

You mention Matt having one of the best if not the best runningbacks in the NFL. Well, he also had one of the worst recieving corps in the league up until last year. Last year his top 2 recievers were injured for most of the year.

Yeah, but McNabb's receivers are phenomonal....:roll2:

McNabb (when healthy, obviously) is one of the top 4 QB's in the league, and has the talent to be the best. He is the best QB that has the ability to not only throw a great deep ball, but also move in the pocket and be almost impossible to bring down. He can also take off and make plays with his legs when he needs to, and can buy time as well as any QB out there.

Hasselbeck is good, but not as good as McNabb. Give McNabb Sean Alexander, and the offense is next to unstoppable. He has also gotten to 4 NFC title games, which is something to be said, and gotten to the Super Bowl and been a bad decision or 2 away from being a World Champion.

That's certainly a debatable statement, but I guess you could say there's some "reason" to it.

I honestly think that McNabb is still the better QB, and the fact that he had a sub-par season, due to playing with an injury last year, doesn't diminish his skill and talent, at all, in my opinion. He also, doesn't have the greatest wide receivers in the world, and T.O. (while being a good receiver) wasn't around long with McNabb, last year, and they had no one else, really. McMullen, Lewis, Pinkston (injured), and I can't think of any other receivers on the team off the top of my head, due to the fact that I'm not an Eagles fan.

The Seahawks don't have the greatest receivers in the NFL, either. Darrell Jackson was their number one guy, and yes, he was injured, but did fairly well in the playoffs; especially in the first quarter of the Super Bowl (unfortunately the other two matter, as well). I believe they had Koren Robinson, who was good, but was kicked off of the team for violating the substance abuse policy. I'm not sure, but I think they had Peter Warrick, as well (he's not great, either). The last WR I can remember is Joe Jurevicious (now with the Browns), who played a crucial role with the Seahawks, especially in the last half of the season, and the playoffs.

I'd say the Seahawks get the edge for the better receiving corps; which would give McNabb the edge, (in my opinion) because he has to do more by himself. And as I stated beforehand, Alexander makes things a lot easier for Hasselbeck, and takes loads of pressure off of him, as well (unless they're losing), and when they're losing, Hasselbeck has to step up. Last I checked, when Alexander didn't run for 100 yards, they didn't fare, as well; which speaks volumes about Hasselbeck's performance and play.

One thing McNabb has him beat on, as well, is "attitude." McNabb is a class act (probably one of the top ones in the NFL), and makes him easy to love. Hasselbeck on the other hand... "We'll receive, and we're going to win..."

Enough said.

Hasselbeck is better than McNabb. All other things being relatively equal, Hasselbeck is not under the dark cloud of the Chunky Soup Curse.

I'd pick Tom Brady as my two-minute QB.

...And hey, how about that University of M*ch*g*n? It's a wonder they can still get quarterbacks to go to school there after they turned a Hall of Fame NFL quarterback into a late-round pick.

Still, I love the way Matt runs the west coast offense. He fits it perfectly. He's got decent mobility and is a good leader. McNabb is great too, I just like Hasselbeck better. :wink2: It's funny that some people are offended at me thinking he's the best QB in the NFC.
