When and How will Carr be Traded-In?

For the purposes of this vBookie Event, Carr will have resigned even if he is asked to do so. An outright firing requires that the school, not Carr, refrains from using any form of the word "resign" or "resignation" when referring to the mode of Carr's departure, excepting that they explicitly state that he did not.

The '07 season includes the Bowl game (if applicable), even if by some miracle their Bowl game is played in '08.

And one other thing...

This is about when he coaches his last game, not about when the announcement will be made. Most seem to understand this, just trying to make it explicitly clear.

I had actually included the words "includes Bowl game" on the betting lines before deciding that it looked better without them, and that it was silly to think that it was relevant.

Not really cause coaches get fired or asked to resign before bowl games often (like Koetter at ASU lst year.) Or do you feel it's not relevant because they won't be in one?

After the bowl game (if they're even lucky enough to get to a bowl game), Lloyd will step down. He will get Bo's associate AD, or whatever it was, job, and will remain at the university.

I say it'll be January, 2008, the day after LSU wins the national championship.

Michigan is trading in their old Carr for something with Les Miles. :tongue2:

Does resigning and retiring mean the same thing b/c that would be my choice but it wasn't an option so I chose resign at end of season.
that is an important distinction. carr would not resign after the end of the season; he would retire. whatever the explanation for his retiring, all of us know that it likely would be forced anyway.

To me there is no distinction here at all. As far as I'm concerned, even though the term "resignation" is not usually used in the context of a retirement, it is impossible to retire without resigning. Anything else is playing with words, which we have no incentive to do here.

Whatever happens, one of the above vBets will pay-out.

Sounds good, figured that was the case but just wanted to make sure.

Michigan is very good at the p.r. game. They won't make an Earl Bruce mistake. Llllloyd will coach out the season and be allowed to retire upstairs to an Associate AD position.

The big question is whether Les Miles will leave LSU or Tedford will leave Berkeley for Ann Arbor.
