While I've never tried Carib, and can't remark on its taste, you then compare it to four beers that taste nothing alike to one another. As far as "Mexicany" beers, you list one of the worst Mexican cervezas, along with three American-made Corona wannabees. Even among the wannabees there are very distinct differences.
Landshark is the closest to copying the taste that the touristy cervezas seem to go for. It is even bottled in a clear bottle, to allow the hops oils to spoil, as does Corona, hence the need for a lime to drowned out the skunky taste. It is also pretty pricey, considering what you get.
Miller Chill does not taste like a beer to me. Not regular domestic (obviously,) not microbrewed, not Latin American, not European. It is more like a Zima, or a Mike's Hard, or Smirnoff Ice, or any of the malt beverage genre. Actually, I kind of like Miller Chill, but that does not mean it tastes like a limed Corona (which I do not like.)
Bud Light Lime is, IMHO, the worst thing Anheuser-Busch has ever produced. It seems to take the worst of the aspects of deskunking beer with lime, eliminate any cerveza-like flavor, and then mix in the things that make domestic beers truly mediocre, and that is what they came up with for Bud Light Lime.
A beer that I rediscovered over the summer is Mexicali. It is made independently from both Cervecer?a Cuauht?moc Moctezuma (Sol, Dos Equis) brewery and Grupo Modelo (Corona, Pacifico) brewery - which makes it practically a microbrew. I had enjoyed it in my youth, but haven't seen it around for awhile. Turns out that they had closed down the brewery in the late 1980's and just reopened in 2000. It outsold Corona until they closed down (because the owner died.) The second best thing about it is that it is available here (not just here "USA", but here "Bowling Green, Ohio")
The very best thing about it is that it is delicious! Mexicali tastes about halfway between an Indio and a Bud Light. A solid, no surprises kind of flavor. Undemanding, no afterkick - and definitely no need for a lime to help choke it down. It is slightly sweet, as I think of a Bud Light kind of sweet, with very little flowery smell. Uncomplicated, and the hops are right there without being overpowering. Mexicany without being overwhelmingly so. A very good one for the days you just want a good beer without having to think about the flavor.
