The only beer that you might possibly consider putting anything foreign into is a Berliner Weisse, which is not your typical Weissebier. Berliner Weisse has a distinct sourness caused by bacteria that raise lactic acid levels. Raspberry or woodruff syrup are often added to cut through the sourness. It’s a low alcohol beer and perfect for a hot summer day, although the style is very difficult to find in this country.
We actually carry the Kinder Berliner at the Winking Lizard. This guy said I'm not going to put that rasberry sause in my beer. I tried to warn him how bitter it was without the rasberry sauce. I sip later he asked for the rasberry sauce
