  • Whatif sports ran a 1,000 simulations of the NC game and the average score was LSU 22 OSU 21 with LSU winning 61% of the time.

    WhatIfSports.com: Football Boxscore

In the game (that they showed) we picked off Flynn twice but Todd threw two picks also. Pretorius missed two FG's while Colt David missed one. We had a ton of penelties called on us early and had a chance to win but gave the ball back on downs.

Anyway on the site there is a link where you could play you own simulation and pick the home team (LSU) and the offensive attack. Every scenerio I tried had OSU winning....

OSU running attack LSU running attack OSU 9 LSU 6
OSU Balanced LSU Air attack OSU 34 LSU 14
OSU Balanced LSU Balanced OSU 32 LSU 20

Should be fun to play around with. Don't know if this link (below) will work but the one above will (and then you have to navigate the links.) You can also pit different teams of different eras also.....

did it three times under normal settings on a neutral field:

OSU favor run, LSU balanced: OSU 41-3

OSU balanced, LSU balanced: OSU 19-6

OSU balanced, LSU favor pass: OSU 27-0

calmed my nerves I must say!

    '07 Buckeyes vs. '06 Buckeyes

    '07 - 24
    '06 - 26

2007 Beanie had 250 yards rushing and three TDs, 2006 Beanie had 143 yards rushing, along with 130 by Pittman. The '07 Buckeyes had 29 first downs, 500 yards of offense, and 7 more minutes of possesion. But they lost.

I simmed OSU/LSU and used a run-favored offense for both teams. OSU won 32-10. Beanie controlled that game as well.

Simmed OSU/LSU, both with balanced attacks. OSU won 29-7, and Boeckman was the player of the game. Beanie still had over 140 yards.

Here's what it churned out for me.

    '07 OSU - 31, '96 OSU - 6

Despite 190 yards by Pepe Pearson, '96 OSU's quarterbacks were utterly unable to solve the '07 OSU defense. Stanley Jackson scrambled five times for -7 yards; backup Joe Germaine relieved him, only to throw three interceptions (one returned for a TD) in his 15 attempts.

    '07 OSU - 67, '07 Notre Dame - 0 ()

Ohio State halfback Chris Wells staked his claim for the Heisman trophy, amassing 357 total yards and 6 touchdowns. Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was sacked 7 times, including one for a safety in the fourth quarter. "Last battle that lopsided was me versus my lunch.", stated coach Charlie Weis.

    '07 OSU - 60, '07 Michigan - 26

Michigan jumped out to a 13-0 lead halfway through the first quarter, but that was the only bright spot for the Wolverines. Ohio State's balanced attack overwhelmed the Michigan defense, and it could have been even worse. UM stopped the Buckeyes numerous times in its own territory, leading to a school record six field goals by Buckeye kicker Ryan Pretorius. As a parting gift to departing coach Lloyd Carr, the Buckeyes even tacked on a meaningless field goal with nine seconds remaining in the game. Coach Carr, in his postgame press conference, called starting quarterback Chad Henne's 12-31, 2 int performance "a m*****f****** joke".

I'm getting the distinct feeling that this simulator is a huge Buckeye fan.

I have no idea how they simmed it 1000 times and LSU won the majority of the games. LSU beat OSU in one simulation I did, and that was the one with Henton vs. Perrilloux.
