What you like most and least about where you live...

Columbus ... liberal? Bah.. maybe you're in a different columbus. Hell, as a college town, this place should be much more liberal.

Anyway, if C-bus is slightly too liberal for your liking stay the hell away from New York and don't get any closer than you already are to Boston.

You're probably right about Columbus not being very liberal for a college town. Your advice is well taken--I'm not a huge fan of NY, and I have no desire to ever set foot in the state of Massachusetts.

Likes: Great weather, nice beaches, scenery, scantily-clothed women, low-crime, clean air, cultural variety, lots of different food, loads of sports activities.

Dislikes: Traffic (congestion combined with dumb-ass local drivers...HAYN and 808 excluded of course ), too windy (at times), too-constant weather (believe it or not, constant sunshine gets old after a while), racist locals, scantily-clothed fat women, cost of living, small houses.

Fuck you and the scantily-clothed woman you rode in on.

Most - Cost of living, commute, convenience, food, great place to pass a good time, close proximity to the Abita brewery

Least- hurricanes, changed all the above, heat, drought, poor public education

After staggering around this country I find that everyplace seems to have that one thing that keeps you where you are and one that that constantly is driving you away. I'm ready to make a move but I have not decided where yet.

I find it amusing because it seems to indicate ignorance and closed-mindedness. It's like refusing to scuba dive at the Great Barrier Reef because you dislike the Aussies.

Good point. Much like the closed-mindedness that was directed at me when people suggested that I should move to Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah, or Texas simply b/c I said that I thought Columbus was a "somewhat liberal city." Right?

I'll add a couple more... (about Columbus)

like: changing of the seasons, easy drive to anywhere in Ohio

dislike: not enough snow, no good high school football, too many rednecks, not enough affordable public golf courses (all compared to Cleveland)

I think I will put this in a slightly more local perspective.

Close to the freeway, can access almost anything pretty quickly
I can walk to Subway
Lowes is less than 200 yards away

what I don't like...

I still live in the city
suburban wannabe white gangstas ( :shake: Pulease :shake: )
I live too close to Lowes
The fucking school district asks for a new levy every damn ballot (shoulda thought of that shit before you built 8 new schools).

just sneak on to the Scarlet and Gray course late at night.. don't worry, even though it is just across the street from the municipal building they will only shoot you with salt-pellets, it doesn't hurt too bad for too long.. LOL... VIOLA, free golfing... might want to use glow in the dark balls though.
