What will the Browns do with their 1st round pick?

Playing Devil's advocate here: If it is Quinn and he does really well with the Browns, will there be a crow-eating contest?
I'll gladly eat a hefty serving of crow if he were to succeed. I just don't see it happening given the talent on the team right now. Most successful teams are built from the bottom up, and throwing a QB into an unsettled offensive situation doesn't pan out all that often. For every Peyton Manning, there's 4-5 Tim Couch's/Akili Smith/Ryan Leafs.

I honestly think Quinn could do quite well in the NFL given the proper situation. I really do believe Detroit should look real hard at drafting him, because I think he could become a star in Mike Martz's pass happy system. I just don't see him succeeding in Cleveland.

I will be happy to say I was wrong. I just want the fucking Browns to actually win some games, I don't care who's the damn quarterback.

I admit, I really do shortchange Quinn, he may turn out to be pretty good. How the hell do I know. The front office, the talking heads not anyone for that matter really nows. What I am extremely disappointed about is the Browns inability to define talent.

I am a firm believer that a QB should be one of the last pieces of the puzzle though. That gives them a fighting chance. Look at Elway...his first 3 years were terrible and almost and made Couch look good.

What Big P said.

If a tree falls in the woods and there isn't anyone around to hear it does it still make a noise? If the Browns take Quinn I am done with them.

My Question is if they trade down and still able to select Brady Quinn would you pay off both bets? Or Quinn has to be picked at #3 for the bet to pay?

BQ would have to be picked at #3 for the bet that says 'Draft Brady Quinn at #3' to pay off.

I'll admit when I'm wrong. However in all honesty I don't think he has much of a chance to succeed as a Brown given the current setup.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the Browns don't need a QB, they do. The problem is that they need so many things other than QB that any QB that they get is going to play like crap. If they spent this draft fixing the OL and running game they could take a QB next year when they might have a better chance to play well.

I agree with your first paragraph. The second i don't know.. he may do well in the NFL but i just don't see it. Not even because he's a domer, but i never saw anything from brady i liked while he was in college. He cracked under pressure, against top oppents (NFL calibur opponets) he stunk IMO, all he did was throw jump balls to jeff smarjazdga, and his biggest win was a loss.

If the browns get him, i'll cheer him on.. and if he does well great, but i don't see it happening but i've been wrong plenty of times before.

Absolutely! if the browns can actually do well and make the playoffs I don't care who they do it with.

Looks like the 19/1 odds on the Browns moving up looks pretty good now for a small wager?

ESPN's Ed Werder reports there is a chance the Oakland Raiders work out a trade with the Cleveland Browns during the first round of the NFL Draft. There is speculation the Browns could send WR Braylon Edwards to the Raiders in addition to the No. 3 pick overall for the first-overall selection.
If the Browns trade up in this draft, I am done with them until a new front office is in place. There is absolutely no reason to move up in this draft.
