What will be the total of the seed #s among the final 4?

This vBet will pay out after the Final 4 is determined, by adding together the regional seeds for each of the four teams that make it. So if all 4 #1 seeds make it, the #4 pays out at 4-1 odds. If the total of the 4 teams is 10, that will pay out at 10-1 odds.

Thanks to WoodyWorshiper (Dubs) for the idea.

For informed wagers,
here is a link and information with the seeds through history who have made the final four. . .

Which Seeds Reach the Final Four Most Often?

The better the seed, the more often it reaches the Final Four. Here's a quick rundown of seeds and the number of times each one has reached the Final Four:

  1. 47 - 40.5%
  2. 26 - 22.4%
  3. 14 - 12.1%
  4. 10 - 8.6%
  5. 5 - 4.3%
  6. 6 - 5.2%
  7. 1 - .9%
  8. 4 - 3.4%
  9. 1 - .9%
  10. 0 - 0
  11. 2 - 1.7%
No team seeded higher than 11th has ever reached the Final Four. George Mason in 2006 and LSU in 1986 are the only teams to advance that far as eleven seeds.

Interestingly, that makes the eleven spot more successful than the ten, nine or seven seeds.

Bump. There will also be vbets for which team wins each individual region, and a vBet for who wins the overall tournament.

As well as individual point spread vBets for selected games.

Purely Evil...

I LOVE IT!

Looks like you made some smart bets here - although last year's result would cost you some serious vCash.

Looks like I'll be pulling for a couple of 5 seeds to get through. :wink2:

You're just upset that you forgot this bet closed early and you couldn't piggyback my bets like you did on ALL of the other bets :wink2:

And yes... I am not rooting for a repeat of last year. But last year it was the first time it ever happened, so what is the chance of it happening 2 years in a row?

I had no idea of what you bet on until after they closed. I did bet late so I couldn't be piggy-backed on, but I did the trivia contest until about 15 minutes before they all closed, and then had to quickly toss money at all the bets closing at noon. I had most of it figured out last night, but I didn't have time to see what you had bet on as I was making my bets. Not that I would have changed anything. :wink2:

I didn't get to this one, or the 'Which #1 seed will lose first bet', but I don't think I was going to bet on that one anyway. But I like the way you spread money from 5 thru 11, I probably would have done something similar if it hadn't closed before I got to it today.
