What Was Your First Ride?

1966 Mustang Fastback for $750. 289, wish I still had it.

After high school I bought my dads '89 Nissan Maxima V6. It was the first of the "Gen 4" Nissans, when Nissan had completely abandoned the Datsun name in America and partnered with Bose with "premium" factory sound systems.

Incredible car that holds up well. Nissan's styles were well ahead of the curve for that time. 10 years later the 99 Toyota Camry finally looked like the car the 89 Maxima was.

A 1977 Buick LeSabre, 12 years old when I got it. My Grandpa gave it to me when he quit driving. My Grandpa lived in WI, so the car had an engine block heater. An electric plug stuck out the grill, and if you plugged it in overnight during winter it would start right up and the heater would be warm.

I put an Alpine stereo system in it, and when I sold the car I took the stereo out and sold it separately for more than I sold the car.

1989 Dodge Shadow. Great little car to get me to school in back. In fact I still have it. It will soon be my brother's car. I drive a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am now. You want to talk about a boat my parents still own a Chystler Fifth Avenue. It looks exactly like the middle gold one in the picture. My god was that thing a beast. It's in great condition still.

1966 chevy Caprice 2 door, with a 396 C.I. big block! Man, that car could do the greatest power braking in the world!
I read through the post and its funny to see what everyones first car was. It kinda gives their age away.:tongue2:

Favorite vehicle: 1972 Chevy truck, 4 x 4, 3/4 ton, gloss black, 33x12x16.5 alloy rims, 4 inch lift, 400 small block! Mud eatin' machine.

Hmmmm, Mom and Dad bought a dull green 55 Chevy 4 door as a second car that some how translated into "my car."

The first car purchased with my own money was a brandt new 67 Camaro convertible, black with white pin striping and "bumble bee" racing stripe and "scarlet" interior. Wish I still owned it as it was a real looker.
