What Sports Franchises Would You Most Like To See Win A Championship?

I remember the comeback from a 14 run defecit against the Mariners in 2001.

Actually, it was a 12-run deficit, not once but twice in the game (12-0 and 14-2).
And I was in attendance for the whole game.

Went with my dad and uncle and we had some really high up seats down the first base line. I remember the game very well. Sunday Night game on ESPN. As the score reached 14-2, we decided we'd take a lap around the stadium on our way out. My dad never leaves games early (and he's taught me to always show up on time (read: early) for tip/kick-off/first pitch, etc. I hate when my friends make me late to sporting events), but I mean it was 14-2 (!) so we were all OK with it, though we knew after walking around the stadium the game would be closing down anyway.

So, we're pacing along the lower level and keeping an eye on the game. As we reach left field, the Indians strung together some hits in their half the 7th as we decided to check out the view from the left field porch before moving into bleachers (home to John Adams and his drum) after the Indians got some more runs. Next thing you know Vizquel is lining a bases-clearing triple down the line in the 9th and Indians are tied before Cabrera knocked in the winning run in the 11th. I'll always remember the fans that had stayed and moved down to the lower bowl to make it look decently packed, though most of the stadium was empty. John Rocker closed out the game in the 11th.

As far as the list. I have to agree with NF and go with 1. Indians 2. Browns. I don't think a title from the Cavs means as much to me or the city. It's a baseball and football town at heart and that's what I was raised on as well.

After that, I'd have to go with the Blue Jackets because I've always thought Columbus to be a good hockey town. That and they're my favorite team in the league.

Besides my favorite teams (Crew, Cavs), others that I root for, or like to see succeed:

Reds- started because the Indianapolis Indians, who my dad worked for at one point, were the farm team when I was growing up at the ballpark and it grew from there. It's easier to like the other Ohio team when they're in different divisions and leagues for that matter. Probably been to more Reds games than Indians due to proximity as well (1-1.5hr drive down 74).

Colts- hometown team. Good organization. They were my team growing up when I didn't have the Browns. Marshall Faulk #28 was my first jersey as a young kid.

Simply don't care enough about the NBA anymore to attach myself to any other teams really, I'm barely interested in the Cavs. Liked the Pacers (every Indiana kid did) and liked the Sixers (AI) growing up.

NHL- liked Detroit before Columbus had a team (Yzerman) and I was actually rooting for the Blackhawks this past year, but that's about it.

NCAAFB - Ohio State (obviously) and if not Ohio State then perhaps Washington.

NHL - Detroit - I'd like one more Cup for Lidstrom but I don't think it's in the cards for the NHL's best defenseman ever. And I would absolutely welcome a CBJ cup too - having an NHL team that isn't Pittspuke within an hour's drive is great :banger:

NCAABB - Butler. I think it would be cool to have a small school like that win it.

NFL - The Browns. Hell at this point I'd like them to just be competitive.

MLB - Orioles - see the Browns comment.

The teams I would least like to see win anything:

NHL - Trashville, Colorado, San Jose, Pittsburgh, Montreal and Buffalo

NCAAFB - U$C, any team from the SEC, Florida State, Pennsylbama State University, scUM, Ntre Ame

NCAABB - Duke. North Carolina. Any team from the SEC.

NFL - Pittsburgh, Dallas (especially), The Ratbirds.

MLB - the Yankees and the Red Sox. And the Dodgers but they aren't going to win shit this year. Oh, and the Toronto Blue Jays. Fuck you Junior Felix :pissed:
